Noted saxophonist Les Goodson plays beautiful music on an elevated subway platfrom in Brooklyn. I met Les years ago, and I sat with him to listen when he was playing on 5th Avenue in his usual spot. Ended up doing a story about Les for The Atlantic Magazine.

Just a wonderful NY character, and a talented, warm-hearted man. In the coming holiday season, he will be a fixture out on 5th Avenue amidst the bright lights and swirl of shoppers.
