This popped on my memories... 16 YEARS! ❤️📸
16 years since I officially started this business. 16 years since I did one of the scariest things I had ever done.... quit my other 3 jobs and fully focus on photography.
At the time, I was young, recently divorced, and raising two little boys mostly on my own. I was their main provider.
And I worked HARD.
Not just at photography, but at being a mom. The sleepless nights, school drop-offs, homework, practices, doctor appointments, cooking, cleaning, laundry, sick kids... all while constantly wondering: Am I doing enough? Am I working too much? Am I raising them right? How am I going to pay everything this month?
Somehow, I kept going...
And looking back now, more than anything, I just feel grateful.
Grateful for every client who trusted me. Every person who came back year after year, referred a friend, shared my work, left a review, or simply said, “You should call Cecy.”
Some of you have been with me for SO many of these 16 years. I’ve watched your babies grow up while you were unknowingly helping me raise mine. ❤️
Every session booked helped put food on our table, buy school clothes, pay bills, and give my boys opportunities. You weren’t just supporting a small business.... you were supporting a mom and her two little boys.
My boys are adults now. 🥹
Somehow, while I was busy photographing everyone else’s babies growing up... mine grew up too.
There were years I thrived and years I simply survived, but I am incredibly thankful for ALL of them.
So mostly, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for every referral and every client who came back.
Thank you for trusting me with your memories. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for supporting my family and allowing me to do something I genuinely love for 16 YEARS. ❤️📸
