Woke up this morning feeling very energized…motivated…lighter. I just felt different.

Maybe because the sun was finally shining.
Maybe it was the awesome Pitbull playlist at yoga.
Maybe because I nailed my Warrior 3 pose…at least on the right side ☺️.
Maybe because it’s Friday.
Maybe because it feels like Spring is coming.

Maybe it’s simply the Universe telling me it’s time to start something new.

I’ve decided this is going to be my mantra for 2024. As the saying goes, Man plans and God laughs, but sometimes man plans and then man procrastinates, becomes deregulated or self-sabotages. 😏​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​2023 was filled with things I felt I had to do and less of things I wanted to do.

So in 2024 I’m going to try to go back to being a little more Jessica, foster more work/life balance, and be present.

I can make the classic social media statement about staying tuned for sneak peaks of the new me, thinking that because I put it in the universe I’ll do it, but….
I’m a work-in-progress 😎.

I would love to know what your mantra or theme for 2024 is going to be (I’m trying to perfect my lettering skills and I am always for some fun quotes to illustrate).

In my studio this morning. Actually in it. Since I can work from anywhere, I usually choose to sit outside (fresh air+sunny skies=flourishing creativity), but since Ophelia is still hanging around, I’m forced to be inside, in my studio (I thought about including a pic, but my studio is embarrassingly a disaster area). ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Finished up my butterflies. Working on the finished piece.
