Two Worlds, One Lens.

Most people know me as the founder of The Adventure Portal where we live for the adventure and the rig. But for me the real magic of the backcountry happens when the rig goes quiet and the stars come out.

This page showcases this shift in focus and features the "Art of the Adventure" - specifically Astro and Time-Lapse photography.

While TAP will always be the home of backcountry trails and gear, Andy Palmer Photography is where I'll be sharing the quiet and often unseen side of the backcountry.

Alstrom Point is a 4685 foot elevation landmark located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in Kane County of southern Utah. It's situated 12 miles northeast of Page and you need a 4x4 vehicle to reach it. This iconic landmark of the Lake Powell area is a cape that extends south into Lake Powell between Padre Bay and Warm Creek Bay. If you don't have a 4x4 then check out who run day trips to this area.
