Virginia Beach Photography is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to join our team as a Picture Day Operations & Customer Experience Coordinator.
This is a part-time, event-based position working with youth sports organizations, dance studios, Picture Days, Media Days, tournaments, and special events throughout Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads.
We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, trustworthy, highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely great with people.
You’ll help manage the customer-facing side of our events, welcoming families, explaining photo packages and products, helping parents place orders, processing payments, and keeping the ordering area organized and running smoothly.
This is an active customer service and sales position. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable starting conversations, showing customers products, making recommendations, and helping families have a great experience.
Responsibilities may include:
Customer service and onsite sales
Explaining photo packages, digitals, prints, and specialty products
Processing Square, cash, and check payments
Assisting with paper, online, and QR-code ordering
Organizing and verifying customer orders
Maintaining spreadsheets and order records
Digitizing physical order forms
Reconciling orders and payments
Assisting with order fulfillment and professional lab orders
Helping answer customer questions and resolve order issues
Compensation: $18–$20/hour + performance-based sales incentives
Most weekday events are approximately 4–6 hours during afternoon/evening hours, with some longer weekend Picture Days and tournaments.
Additional paid administrative and order-processing hours may also be available between events.
Requirements:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable handling payments and customer information
Comfortable with computers and spreadsheets
Own reliable laptop
Reliable transportation
Dependable and punctual
Availability for some evenings and weekends
Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Experience in customer service, sales, retail, event operations, youth sports, dance, photography, or administration is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
Photography experience is not required.
