WANTED: Athletes, seniors, cowboys, dancers, fighters, baseball teams/players, softball teams/players, football monsters, volleyball legends, wrestlers, rodeo kids, hockey players… honestly if it breathes and has a wild idea, let’s build it.

Downtown Paw Paw just got a little dangerous for boring photos.

I’ve officially opened my new portrait space inside a historic downtown building with massive old windows, natural wood floors, turf setups, gritty textures, cinematic lighting, and enough room to create just about anything you can dream up. Think less “school photo day”… more sports magazine cover meets movie poster.

I can create:
Fire photos
Snow effects with real snow machine
Smoke-filled dramatic scenes
Epic lighting setups
Team media day look
Creative custom concepts for ANY sport or portrait session

Bring your helmet, cleats, glove, saddle, bat, jersey, wrestling belt, prom dress, or completely unhinged idea you saw on the TikTok’s at 2am. I’m here for it.

SESSION INFO:
• $150 for a 1-hour session
• Guaranteed minimum of 10 fully edited images
• Usually WAY more than that
• You receive all photos worth editing
• Full printing packages available
• Use the images however you’d like

This isn’t cookie cutter photography. This is building something people stop scrolling for.

If your kid wants photos that look like they belong on the cover of Sports Illustrated instead of a yearbook order form from 1997… let’s make it happen.

Message me to book. Spring sports, summer sports, fall sports, winter sports, senior banners, media days, team posters, individual athlete portraits, senior sessions, couples, western shoots, creative portraits… all of it is welcome.

Normal photos are over there somewhere… I just took a hard left at the smoke machine and fireballs.

Spring showed up and stomped the gas pedal
Between baseball for my soon to be stepson, softball for my daughter, graduation for my soon to be step daughter and everything else ramping up, I’ve been running a little wide open lately…
(And because we like to stay busy apparently…) my daughter is in a musical AND playing softball at the same time, no off switch around here.
Here’s a shot from their final dress rehearsal before the big show this Saturday at Paw Paw High School.
The musical is… legally I can’t say the name… but it’s called something like “Frozonk.”
You know, the one where it’s real cold, there’s some dramatic sibling energy, and a whole lotta “should’ve brought a jacket” moments

Proud dad over here. She’s been putting in the work, if you’re around, come check it out!

I spiced the photo up a little bit to really make that stage pop.

I’ve been making some changes lately.
Truth is… coming back home to Paw Paw slowed me down more than I expected.
No more long days on the ranch chasin horses and cows.
No miles disappearing under my boots chasing light or wildlife.
No fences to fix in a just because they needed fixing or a bull decided he didn’t like it there.
And somewhere in all that… I started carrying a little extra weight.
More than I ever have in my life.
Didn’t sit right with me.
Now before anyone calls it a tragedy… I’ll admit part of the problem is I eat a whole lot better these days.
Turns out when you’ve got an incredible woman cooking real meals… it’s hard to say no to seconds.
But still… I knew it was time.
So we got to work.
Gym days.
Cleaner eating.
Choosing discipline over excuses… and yeah… walking past the snack shelf like it personally offended me.
I’m already down 15 pounds in a month.
Not done yet.
And I won’t lie to you…
This ain’t easy.
It’s sweat.
It’s showing up when you don’t feel like it.
It’s choosing the hard road when nobody’s watching.
But I’ve lived that life before.
Just looks a little different now.
Someday I’ll find that piece of ground again…
Fence lines, cattle, maybe a few mini Highlands roaming around like they own the place.
Until then…
You’ll find me in the gym.
Putting in the work.
Because if I’m gonna stand up there on August 22…
I’m not just showing up.
I’m showing up good lookin.

What’s something you’ve been putting off that you know it’s time to start?

After nearly 20 years of chasing light, freezing my hands off, hiking miles for a single frame, and hauling around more gear than I care to admit… I’m done.

Sold it all.

The Nikon Z9, the glass, the whole dang kit.

From here on out I’m shooting exclusively on my iPhone.

I’ve been messing around with it more lately and honestly… it’s just as good. Maybe better in some ways. Fits in your pocket, no setup, no weight, no fighting the wind while your tripod tries to take flight across Lake Michigan.

Spent all those years thinking it was about the gear. Turns out it wasn’t.

It’s just about seeing it.

So yeah… big shift for me.
Kind of excited to simplify things and get back to the basics.

I Put about 6 hours into detailing the new truck today. Gave it a proper clean now that winter’s finally loosening its grip.
She’s lookin sharp. Took it to town tonight and folks were flashin me like I had my brights on… nope, just the paint sendin it right back at ’em.
And I’ll say this… “cleanin a truck” sounds simple till you’re halfway through wonderin why your whole body feels like you spent the day workin cattle instead of holdin a sponge.

Had to let the creativity off the leash for this one 🚀

Media Day turned into a full blown trip through the galaxy… and these guys didn’t just show up, they launched. Between the laughs, the ideas, and a little bit of “what if we try this…”, I’d say it was a success.

Safe to say, talent on the field and imagination off it. ⚾

This ain’t picture day… this is a warning.

Lady Red Wolves varsity softball came in ready to take names and chase championships. No smiles, no games… just straight business!

The mobile studio is on the move… and yes, my truck works harder than most people I know.

If it looks like I’m headed to build a house… I’m not.
If it looks like I’m moving out… I’m not.

I’m just going to take photos.

But not the “stand there and smile” kind.
We’re talkin’ lights, gear, chaos, and just enough organized confusion to make something real come out of it.

Today it’s media day for Paw Paw JV baseball and varsity softball…
which means a bunch of athletes are about to look like absolute legends whether they planned on it or not.

This is how I roll.
If it doesn’t take a full truck bed and a little bit of madness, I probably don’t want to shoot it anyway.

So if your team, business, or whatever you’ve got going on needs photos that don’t look like they were taken in 2007 with a kit lens…

Let’s make it happen.

Drop a comment if your team needs a media day
Tag a coach who’s still using blurry photos
Or just tell me what you think I forgot to pack this time
