parking lot, overcast sky, a girl in a yellow raincoat — honestly not the most dramatic scene on paper.
but the AURORA 35mm made it one of my favourite sets this year.
wide open at f/1.4, the separation between subject and background is absurdly good for a 35. bokeh isn't mushy or nervous — it just quietly dissolves the yellow road markings behind her into this warm, abstract wash. and autofocus locked on through every squat, every spin, every moment she stopped looking at the camera.
35mm is the one focal length I reach for when I want to feel *in* the scene, not just documenting from a distance. this lens gets that.
