Even though the rain was coming down, the Vancouver Ravens baseball team still gave everyone an enjoyable afternoon of baseball yesterday.

We've got a game on our hands today!

Both teams have put in some backbreaking work this season, and it all comes down to the next 4 quarters of play.

If Wednesday's games were any indication, this is going to be an all-out battle. ⚔️

One team will go home with the championship. 🏆

Got some practice this weekend photographing fast moving, unpredictable creatures. This time, without lacrosse sticks. 😊

Birds are a delight to watch, and they’re even more fun to photograph. I hope you enjoy a few of the snapshots I took over the weekend (plus the non-bird…can you spot it?).

Believe it or not, photographing lacrosse really helps out my nature and wildlife photography in so many ways!

Pictured here are black oystercatchers and whimbrels. The oystercatchers are my favorite coastal bird: they have a really fun call, and they are so very striking with their orange beaks and yellow eyes against their dark plumage.

It was a wonderful trip to Bandon this past weekend, and I can’t wait to go again.

Even though it’s not hard-hitting action and flag-worthy checks like I normally post, I hope you enjoy the beauty of the southern Oregon coast!
