Otters! Family of four! I have only had an opportunity to photograph a few otters. We were pleasantly surprised when this family of four popped out of the water and took off running across the exposed tidal flats while the tide was out. They were running fast, didn't want to be spotted in the open, I am guessing.

These guys were so hard to photograph, with the boat rocking and the puffins doing their own surfing on the waves, I am surprised I got any good shots at all. I was so surprised to find these beauties while reviewing my photos.

Nature is amazing! The sea was rough, so I was very lucky to get some clear puffin photos.

I've been MIA this week. What a week...Luna's ICU visit, my own ER visit, and figuring out how to feed and take care of Luna in her new way of life, while waiting to get results on whether she has a neuromuscular autoimmune condition related to her megaesophagus. I took today off work to decompress (doctor's orders).

Hubby and son are taking care of Luna tomorrow so I can go on a pre-scheduled boat trip this weekend. Definitely need a little nature in my life. Hope your Friday and weekend is great. ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️

This is how the last week has been! Sticking my tongue out at the week!

Many things happening in our family and was looking for a relaxing weekend, but Luna ended up in ICU this weekend, no relaxing and the workweek starts over again.

We are on a course to figure out Luna's new normal, but happy to have her home.

Hoping all the crazy calms down soon! I may not be posting too much this week as we figure things out.

Good update this morning. She's eating well in her new way of eating, upright. She has megaesophagus, which I had never heard of before. Her esophagus is enlarged and was keeping her from getting the food to her stomach, which caused aspirational pneumonia. They said she was the best patient and got lots of kisses from her care team.

Testing will let us know if this is linked to something more critical, but for now we'll take the good news.
