💜 SD PHOTOGRAPHY GIVES BACK 💜

I’ve been thinking a lot about how I can use my photography business to give back to the people around me, and I would LOVE to start doing fundraisers every couple of months for families, individuals, or causes that could use a little extra help. 🥹

Photography is something I absolutely love, but being able to use something I love to make a difference for someone else means even more to me. 🤍

So every few months, I’ll be choosing a fundraiser to support and putting together a special session, mini session, giveaway, or another fun way for YOU to participate while helping someone in our community.

And here’s a little update on the Swanson family:

💗 Kate is HOME! She is resting and recovering after her surgery. She will be bed-bound and wheelchair-bound for up to 6 weeks while she heals from her badly broken femur. Please continue praying for her recovery! 🙏🏼

💙 Luke is still in the ICU. The family recently learned that he has a moderate to severe diffuse axonal injury (DAI), which is a traumatic brain injury. He is being closely monitored while his brain heals. His family says he is still going in and out, and right now they are taking everything day by day. 🙏🏼💔

💚 Brian is recovering from open-heart surgery with 6 bypasses and should be home sometime this week! Please continue praying for his recovery as he transitions home. 🙏🏼

This family has been hit with SO much in such a short amount of time. Brian is recovering from open-heart surgery with 6 bypasses, Kate is recovering from a serious leg injury, and Luke is fighting to heal from a traumatic brain injury.

💜 HELP US SUPPORT THE SWANSON FAMILY 💜

I’m putting together a $10 giveaway to help support the Swanson family during an incredibly difficult time. Every entry will go directly toward helping this family while they navigate everything that has happened over the last few days. 🙏🏼

Brian Swanson had open-heart surgery on August 21st for SIX bypasses. Brian is the only one working and has several mouths to feed. While he is in the hospital recovering, his wife Crystal has been trying to stay by his side while also making sure her family and children are taken care of.

Then, on August 22nd, Crystal received a devastating phone call.

Some church friends had picked up her 8-year-old son, Luke, and her 5-year-old granddaughter, Kate, to take them to a birthday party. While they were on their way back, they were involved in a severe car accident.

💔 Luke was ejected from the vehicle and is currently in the ICU being closely monitored.

💔 Kate suffered a badly broken femur and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning, August 23rd.

This family is facing more than anyone should have to endure at once. With Brian recovering from major heart surgery and now Luke and Kate needing medical care, I want to do whatever I can to help take a little weight off their shoulders. 💜
