Hi friends! It’s been a while since I showed my face around here. I’m Michelle and I own Shelly Fox Photography! I’m going to drop some random and honest truths below and I’d love to see how much we have in common!

➳ I’m lactose intolerant but that didn’t stop me from enjoying a respectable size bowl of cannoli Ben & Jerry’s last night.

➳ I love the reggae rock scene; Rebelution, Iration, Artikal Sound System, but my all time favorite is Dirty Heads

➳ I am admittedly awful at the business side of business. Sometimes it takes me longer than it should to get to emails or do paperwork but it’s because I’m an artsy fartsy gal and that stuff clouds my brain. I just want to make art and make connections with my clients. Connections with amazing humans is my all time favorite part of this journey

➳ I am emotional. Like a mess. But for some reason, I can cry at the drop of a hat for happy moments. It’s harder for me to cry at sad things. Someone gets a standing O on The Voice and I’m a blubbering mess.

➳ I’m always looking for signs. Im a firm believer that nothing is a coincidence.

➳ LBI NJ is my favorite place on planet earth. I feel like I’m a different person as soon as we drive over that bridge and I just never want to leave.

➳ I’m currently struggling with being recently diagnosed with adult adhd. I’ve never had these issues before. So any advice would be appreciated 🤪

➳ My son and my husband are my world. Arlo is my sunshine. There is no hurt that his smile and laugh couldn’t cure

➳ I’m AWFUL at names. I care and I remember you but if I forgot your name or called you the wrong one, I swear I tried and I’m sorry. Names and birthdays. I just can’t remember 😭

➳ My self talk is bad. I will be your one woman hype squad, I will cheer you on, build you up, protect your confidence with fierce intensity, but I’m the first to tear my self down. Berate myself with awful thoughts and words. And this isn’t a brag, I know need to work on it.

➳ I have an intense addiction to Dunkin Donuts and yes I’m patiently awaiting for the return of Pumpkin Spice next week 😏

Knowing these two since high school, it was so incredibly sweet to photograph this next chapter in their lives. I graduated with Luciano and he hasn’t changed a bit. Which was a relief because we had such a blast at this shoot. Can’t wait to meet this sweet little bambino 🫶 he’s going to have the best parents.

Maternity sessions are so near and dear to my heart. I could stand up and give a 45 minute unprepared speech on why they are so important. But I think these photos do that for me ♡

When you embrace the unpredictable, magic happens. Morgan and Matt had a rainy end to their wedding day but in true Morgan & Matt fashion, they said f✦ck it, let’s dance in it. If this is your energy, you’re my kind of people. Let’s make magic together! And yes, Morgan is an absolute icon and changed into a white sequined jumpsuit for her reception. Like come on, save some cool for the rest of us.

Michelle & Ian ladies and gentlemen!! My ideal clients personified!! We had so much fun jamming out to elder emo music and exploring!! They weren’t afraid to try some out of the box prompts and it resulted in some seriously beautiful images! They were just unapologetically their silly lovely selves and photographing them was an absolute treat!! I cannot wait for this wedding in a few months! Thank you guys so much for being so amazing. I also can’t wait to share part two to this shoot 😏😍
