Joshua turned a HALF year old! Six-seven months is one of my favorite stages of babyhood… their little personalities are beaming, they’ve got the sweetest baby rolls, big gummy smiles, and they love to play with their feet! Joshua delivered on all of those for his session. 🥰

And of course, we had mom + dad in for some family photos as well -prep all the cuddles and kisses they love to give their little guy!

Beautiful, glowing mama and this gorgeous ruffle robe from the Client Closet. ✨

When scheduling maternity pictures often times clients will schedule hair and make-up appointments (this mama did her own, super talented!). The beauty of having a studio session is no matter what Michigan weather brings, the session goes on in the warmth and comfort of the studio. But really, studio sessions are just dreamy, timeless and gorgeous in general. 😘

Those newborn and family photos that you took so much time to do…

You know - get the kids all ready, fed, yourself showered, hair + make-up, help the husband pick out his shirt, everyone in the vehicle, change the blow-out diaper, then get in the vehicle again. All of that on five hours of broken sleep. It was WORK (and I’m impressed, mama!)

But you did it because you know they’re only this little once. You did it because you know you’ll forever cherish those photos of your baby, your children, and your family. You did it because you waited so long to meet this little one. You did it because you know just how fast it’s going to go.

So do something with those photos that you invested so much energy and time in. You’ll never regret having those. You’ll never regret flipping through your album of your beautiful baby and family. You’ll never regret looking at that favorite family portrait on the wall.

I’ll never stop talking about the importance of tangible photos and albums. 🤍
