I think, as photographers, we’re often primed to show you the perfectly curated shoots.

The ones where we pose every hand, adjust every strand of hair, and say, “Oh, let’s try this!” while our clients happily follow along because they invested in photographs they hope will hang on their walls for years to come.

But we don’t share enough of the come home and remember sessions.

The ones that aren’t about perfect poses or polished smiles. The ones where a family simply wants to remember the life they’ve built. The land they’ve worked. The animals they’ve loved. The quiet, ordinary moments that mean everything when you look back years later.

Andy and Jess have spent as long as I’ve known them walking through every storm with grace, grit, and generous hearts. Even in difficult seasons, they’ve remained some of the most positive people I’ve ever met. It was an honor to be trusted with something that means so much to them.

And, of course, I have to mention my favorite.

Henen Keller, the blind hen.

She was as sweet as could be.
