What's your Enneagram type? I recently learned I'm a 4 - really common for creative folks. Of course! Knowing my Enneagram has been so helpful in helping me understand how I experience the creative process.
💭 Historically, my relationship with my work was in flux, swinging between deep appreciation and longing. I’ve craved the ability to unconditionally and sustainably love what I create, to feel that the heart and dedication I pour into my work are mirrored by how I see it. More than anything, I’ve longed to stay on an authentic path, one that I consistently feel confident in.
The concept of the Enneagram Type 4 has totally normalized this experience! Phew! 😮💨 And now I know that there are words a Type 4 might need to hear, affirmations to practice to create more balance and equanimity in the creative process.
