Back in 2024, we had a wild idea. (Some might call it a wild hair. 😆)

21 days on the Snake River. No food. No money. Just music and the kindness of strangers.

Two years later, Only Music is an Official Selection of the 2026 Banff Mountain Film Festival—as our toddler would say, “holy cow!!”

We’re a tiny production company, and this was the dream. We’re still pinching ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who fed us, carried us, and sang along, and to everyone who helped make this film. 🙏

Sooooooper fun shoot last week with the fellas at The Garage Den. AJ and Abby got their pics taken with a rolls Royce and rode in a really fast Porsche of some sort. Couldn’t tell ya what type but it was WILD!!! It did make rolling home in the Subaru a little anti climactic 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ thanks for having us out!!! Also shout out to Rob Jackson for being down to don a stokies jersey from time to time.

In May, we had the incredible fortune of filming our friend and fellow entrepreneur Mandy Mullen as she attempted to run 250 miles across the Arizona desert. She’s been running ultras for a handful of years now, but this was her biggest race yet and she wanted to make a documentary about it.

The Cocodona 250 might just be the gnarliest race ever: 38,000+ feet of elevation gain, 33,000+ feet of elevation loss (gonna feel this in the knees), and six days in which racers can attempt to complete it. It seems good that you’d have six days, but that’s six days of minimal sleep, being on your feet, needing a shower, running through the night, often alone.

Despite our best laid plans, filming this effort was no small feat for our team of four and our two volunteer crew members, Scott and Wes, (who were the real heroes of the whole thing). We slept when Mandy slept, which was infrequent at best. We lived and died by the race tracker: “Guys, she’s only three miles out from the next aid station, we gotta gooooo!” Cut to us scarfing sandwiches down and snagging batteries off chargers not knowing the next time we’d be back at base camp.

Mandy had a torn quad basically the whole time (but didn’t know it until after). We’re not going to tell you anymore, you’ll have to watch the doc.

But watching her limp into aid station after aid station, plop in a chair and have her husband Nick peel off her sweat-stained socks, bathing her blistered-clad feet in ice cold water brought us to tears. Even more so when she hobbled out thirty minutes later.

Watching someone try something they aren’t sure they can do is such a gift, it’s such a tender experience. You’re witnessing vulnerability on display in its rawest, rarest form. To try when you know you’re likely able to do it is one thing. To try when the odds are against you, well, that’s the stuff of legend. miles.Beyond Running Company Mandy Mullen Cocodona 250

This past week was insane for us 🤯 We followed as she attempted the - we got to run with her as pacers, celebrate the good miles, and document the hard ones. We cried a little and laughed a lot because it was just so heart melting to watch her get back on her feet after 100+ miles, blisters freshly patched, pizza in belly, and a smile (ok, sometimes a grimace) plastered on her face. We’re making a documentary about this incredible lady, not because she won first place, or landed a big sponsor, or is famous in the ultra running world. But because she’s like you and me; she’s choosing to squeeze the most juice out of life and inspiring others to do the same.

Aj and Mike with competed in the U.S. Open Pickleball Championship and got the silver medal baby!!! They say if ya ain’t first you’re last but we think it doesn’t matter what place you come in when you got a good buddy by your side. Maybe our favorite part of this side quest is that Mike was a client first, but now he’s a forever friend cause that’s how we like to do it ❤️🙏🏽
