Flower Mini- Richmond

I love that every flower session is different. I photograph families in the flowers for over a month, and it’s such a beautiful reminder of how quickly everything changes. 🌸

The Richmond family was the very first family in the flowers this summer, right when everything was just taking off. The lighting was perfection, the flowers were just beginning to bloom, and everything was so green, lush, and full of life.

By the end of the month, the flowers look completely different. It’s one of my favorite things about photographing this season — getting to watch it unfold, one session at a time. And somehow, every single session is just as beautiful and special in its own way. It’s such a good reminder that things don’t have to look the same to be beautiful — every season, every moment, and every family has its own kind of magic. 🤍 🤍

This little man wasn’t exactly sure about having his picture taken… 😂 but he was ALL about exploring the garden!

He wandered through the flowers, searched for his favorites, pet the cat (Cheeto) and got to just be a little boy instead of being told to sit still and smile. And somehow, in between all that exploring, I managed to catch a couple of those sweet smiles. 🥹🌸

This is exactly why I love letting kids have the freedom to explore during sessions here. Sometimes the best photos happen when they don’t even realize we’re taking them. 🤍

Flower mini session editing is underway; I will be sending more galleries out today. I am in awe and so thankful for all the beautiful families that have come out to these this year. You truly don't even know how much it means to me. I plan these flower fields all year and spend countless hours in them planting, weeding, and watering. It means so much to have people to share them with. I have family/friends that have never even seen these fields so thank you for being here!! If it weren't for you, I am not sure I would still do this. This is the last weekend for flower sessions in my books, but the flowers are still beautiful as ever! If you still want to squeeze in for a flower session this weekend or the next few weeks let me know I would love to show you my world! I also have a second sunflower patch blooming mid-September, dahlias starting to bloom and a beautiful veggie garden that is gorgeous for photos! So much more to share but for now here's a couple snaps!

Our fall truck setup is back and ready for some beautiful fall photos! The truck will be surrounded by gorgeous mums, pumpkins, and all the cozy fall details, with peak fall color making the perfect backdrop. 🍁🧡 And this year, we’re switching things up with the red truck! ❤️🍂

The flower fields are stunning as ever! 🌻🌸

I’ve been a little behind on posting lately because, honestly… I LIVE HERE! 😂💛

Between flower sessions, animals, watering, weeding, and everything else that comes with keeping this place going, it has been NONSTOP this month. But 1000% worth it. 🥹

Finally, after a whole year of planning and waiting, my heart is so full. I wake up every day, walk the fields, and just take it all in… exactly like this video.

I’ve officially started editing sessions and I cannot WAIT to start sharing some of them with you very soon! 📸
