A new family of five was just in the studio. šŸ˜

Check the way big brothers look at her and give kisses.
Or the way her parents gently hold her close.
And the way the entire family seems to revolve around this tiny new life. šŸ˜

This sweet girl was awake for most of her session, taking in the world around her, already so loved by everyone. ā¤ļø Iā€™m not so sure she was impressed with me, but thatā€™s ok. I was sure enamored by her.

What an honor it was to capture these memories for my dear friend and her beautiful family. Enjoy!

Our second daughter is an amazing artist, and studying to be a graphic designer at Iowa State. She entered the Peopleā€™s Artist Competition a few weeks ago and is trying to make it to the top 10 by 9pm today. She was in the top 12 earlier this week, so every vote countsā€¦and today is double points day! I donā€™t normally post stuff about our family, and I know Iā€™m asking a lotā€¦just a little proud of this kid. Things look a little different around here šŸ¤

As my family navigates some added responsibilities caring for my parents, Iā€™m keeping a slower, more intentional pace in the studio over the next few months.

Because of that, Iā€™ll be taking on a very limited number of sessionsā€”just 5 clients per monthā€”to ensure every family continues to receive the fully guided portrait experience you know and love.

The dates in this post reflect my current availability for family, senior, maternity, and bo***ir sessions through August. Newborn and baby clients will always be cared for with a bit of flexibility as those little arrivals donā€™t follow a calendar šŸ’• But the key to remember is book sooner rather than later.

If youā€™ve been thinking about documenting your family, I would love to plan something beautiful together.

Thank you, truly, for your patience, your kindness, and for continuing to trust me with your memories. I promise, this slower pace wonā€™t be foreverā€”but for now, it allows me to serve each of you and my family to the best of my abilities. ā¤ļø
