~A Tapestry of Devotion~ How do you remember Christ during Holy Week?
~This image is part of my Reimagined Series, where I use my memories and photographs as creative prompts to collaborate with AI and reimagine moments inspired by my experiences. I am a visual storyteller who enjoys trying a variety of art media to share a powerful message. I hope this one helps us all focus on the Atonement of the Savior during this very important week.

Do you prefer 1, 2, or 3?
TRAVEL TIP: You can stay in many castles in Italy and France. It’s one of my favorite things to do! When you check-in, ask them if there are any grounds, towers or buildings you can see. This question has unlocked charming little chapels and towers with the most incredible morning fog views for cameras and drones!

~Evening Dream Settles In~
Is there a place you’ve traveled to that feels like a dream when you think of it?
~Golden light on worn stone, flowers spilling from windows, and the hum of a day winding down. The sunset glow illuminates a quiet street waiting to be wandered.

“Quiet Walks Bring Memories Home”
Do quiet walks trigger memories of anyone special? Feel free to tag someone who helped shape your journey.
—Golden light settles softly over the Tuscan hills. A quiet path winds past wildflowers and old stones as a man walks from the cemetery to the glowing hilltown he calls home. This familiar path brings back the memories of those who shaped his life — family, friends, and the moments that matter most.
— Scenes like this have stayed with me through many visits to Tuscany over the years, photographing its landscapes, villages, and the quiet rhythms of life.
—This image is part of my “Reimagined Series,” where I use my photographs and writings as creative prompts and collaborate with AI to reimagine moments inspired by those experiences.

Postcards from Tuscany
—Which of these postcards would you like to step into? (1-9)
—Swipe to the final slide to see all nine postcards together.
— This collection is part of my Reimagined Series — a visual storytelling project inspired by many years of photographing the people, cultures and landscapes of Tuscany.
—My connection here began as a youth and continued through a photo-art sabbatical while teaching at the university. Now I return to lead photography workshops.
—Along the way I photograph and interview locals and travelers alike, cycling through vineyards, sharing meals in piazzas, and wandering the medieval streets of Tuscany’s hill towns.
—Now I use my photographs and writings as creative prompts, collaborating with AI to reimagine those experiences and share them as visual stories.

“A Glimpse of Old Italy”
Two local women sit and reminisce as they have for generations. For a moment, it feels like seeing Cinque Terre, not as a tourist destination, but as it has always been. I remember visiting Italy with my parents as we traveled around in a VW van. I still love visiting now, especially when I see scenes that feel like walking back in time!
— This is part of my ‘Reimagined Series,’ where I take an old image of mine, along with my memories as prompts to create a new AI version of my travel experiences. I use Luminar Neo, Photoshop, and other tools. I am a visual storyteller and teacher, and I am finding AI to be another new art medium that helps me share a story. I hope you enjoy it?

~ Where the Past Still Blooms ~ Some people think cemeteries are places of endings. While exploring small villages in Italy, I have been touched by how people keep memories alive. On one occasion, I found three old friends joyfully reminiscing with their hands deep in the soil. Not because anyone was watching or asked them to, but because every life deserves beauty. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do for the past…is help it bloom again.
~ REIMAGINED SERIES ~
—“WHERE THE PAST STILL BLOOMS” is an AI image I created for my new “Reimagined Series.” I find an old image of mine that was part of a poignant experience and I use the image and prompts to create a reimagined version. I used three different programs and a LOT of TIME to create this image to end up with something I love.
~ This is my art, based on my real-life experiences in that location, with my camera, sketchbook, and notes. This is just one new stage in my photo-art journey. I am a visual storyteller. I hope you enjoy it.

~ Nonna of San Gimignano ~
In the hush of a Tuscan sunset, she leans on her broom and smiles — as if she’s holding a thousand Sunday dinners, laughter-filled kitchens, and sun-soaked summers in her heart. The golden light of Tuscany has a way of turning memories into something almost sacred.
~ REIMAGINED SERIES: I fall in love with Italy again and again. Some places don’t just hold beauty — they hold belonging.

I love the water color in the Italian Dolomites. So many great memories on the shores of this beautiful lake.
— PHOTO TIP: Humanize the landscape: even if there are no people, try including man made elements like cabins and docks for contrast, texture and a storytelling element.
