A mother becomes the keeper of atmosphere, memory, and spirit. She carries not only her children, but the invisible weight of generations, tending the fragile flame of tenderness in a world that often forgets it. There is mystery in the way a home can be sanctified by gentleness, by warm bread, by whispered prayers at midnight, by the steady presence of someone who continues giving even while unseen. The sacredness of motherhood has never been loud; it has always lived in hidden places... in patience, in grief transfigured into mercy. May it be seen in the quiet imitation of the Theotokos, whose strength was veiled in humility.

Perhaps this is why motherhood feels both earthly and eternal at once, because within its exhaustion is the strange and holy work of shaping souls while one’s own soul is also being remade. 💕

A group of wonderful kids/teens are fundraising for their upcoming Summer camp! Please consider joining this event to support them! Will be a fun afternoon with tons of amazing items to purchase during the bake sale, auction and raffle!

PS: I know personally there will be many homemade from scratch goodies! Such as cake batter funfetti cookies, thick double chocolate brownies, brown butter chocolate chip cookies, sourdough loaves, toasted marshmallow rice crispy treats and also there will be an auction on my Dutch Cherry Crumble Pie AND an Idaho Huckleberry Cheesecake! All of which will be available to purchase in support of these wonderful kiddos at the event!

Heyyyy! It's been a minute, but I am coming out of hibernation!

Spring is on the horizon. I have enjoyed another beautiful (but oddly snowless...) winter surrounded by my cozy family, in the midst of minor house projects while doing lots of sourdough baking. I have self reflected like never before, digging deep into my spiritual life and health, making way for truth and real growth. I have explored answers I have never thought would come, while sitting in the most still season I have ever experienced. What JOY to find a real home.

Looking ahead, the sunshine has ignited me the last few days and I anticipate lots of newness in the season ahead! I can't wait to share some of what has been going on and what is coming up.

Happy Birthday to a man who has been a steady source of light, truth, and love in our lives. Dennis Hook has meant so much to me and my family and he has played many important roles in our lives over the years. A fatherly presence to me, like a grandfather to my kids, and occasionally that strange and reclusive uncle 😂 but most of all, he's a brother in Christ and someone I truly cherish.

He’s the kind of friend who shows up with wisdom, loyalty, and just enough unpredictability to keep things interesting. Those kinds of people are rare. Even rarer? Finding a couple like Dennis and his other half, my bestest friend, Miss Jenni Hook. It is every bit as incredible, together they are truly one of my life’s greatest blessings and their home is my home away from home, the safest space I know outside of my own. Plus, they let me take their pictures too. 🥹

So today we celebrate! Happy birthday, Mr. Dentist. 🎂 And cheers to 7 years of friendship! 🎉 Heres to many more years and many many more treats. Enjoy your day, and your pie too! Love you guys.

Everyone talks about the night before Christmas... but what about the night after Christmas?🎄✨ Well, let me tell ya.

Leftovers in the fridge, but who cares when amps are on full blast, and Spool Effect is turning the 219 Lounge into a full-body experience in downtown Sandpoint.

Three humans. Endless sound. A rad collision of reggae grooves, jam-band wanderings, and rock grit, all tied together with raw passion and the kind of energy you can’t fake. Ambiance-on-the-walls, heads-nodding, hips-moving, to eyes-closed feel it in your bones kind of music. The kind of jams that remind you why live shows matter.

It was absolutely epic, something about post-holiday nights like this when the noise of Christmas fades and the music just takes over. Spool Effect didn’t just play a set, they built a vibe and invited the whole town in. I, I was there for it... chasing light, movement, and that split second where sound turns into feeling. More of this. Always more of this, please. 🎶🔥

Oh, and happy birthday to the Lass who turned 22. And anyone else who celebrated their birthday with these dudes last night.
