Kelsey Lefever Photography Adventurous elopement and wedding photographer based in Lafayette, Indiana I'm Kelsey, and my favorite moments are the wild + windswept ones.

I want to capture that: those real, raw, unfiltered emotions and interactions. If we work together, be prepared to get barefoot (maybe), be a little bit adventurous (definitely), and laugh a lot (probably at me). Though I'm based in Lafayette, Indiana, I know that love can pull you all over the world, and I'm down to photograph wherever your story takes you, whether that’s the Nevada desert, a Serengeti safari, or exploring just down the road.

You’re not going to believe the sun rays we got at Turkey Run for Emily + Bailey’s engagement session 🌞 Believe me when I say I felt like I was going to COMBUST.

These two braved mud and heat for photos in this place that means so much to them and I’m so glad they did. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year.

One year ago we said goodbye to our boy Britt, and I haven’t really had myself together enough to listen to his last police radio signoff again until now. Thinking of him today (and most days).

Tippecanoe County’s drive-by our home for Britt’s final 10-42 was really meaningful and I treasure the photos took for us.

I dug out my old favorite photos of him today. I spent so long going through the memories and yet I’m sure there are still some I left out.

Britt was most charismatic and handsome boy. I appreciate him, I admire him, I miss him, I love him, I respect him, I am grateful for him, I forever owe him. 💛

In June 2019, I came home from Tanzania and met Conner’s new police dog, Britt. Neither of us was very happy about this. Me because I knew of him at the department before he was Conner’s and thought he was really obnoxious, him because he had been chilling with dad for a few weeks and didn’t understand why I had suddenly appeared in this space and crashed their party. He looked at me like he kept waiting for me to leave.

We grew on one another quickly once he realized I’d play with him. He was brilliant, I snuck him treats and cuddled with him, he brought me his Kong and stole my bagels.

I felt safer knowing Conner had him. I felt safe with him too. Britt got my attention when Conner wasn’t feeling well, played with our cat, and made best friends with Stella. So much best friends, in fact, that they would chase each other around the house every evening with so much vigor that they’d rearrange our furniture. Later, he played kindly with Rowan and our sassy foster dog Boo Boo. He taught Rowan to shake toys, in fact. He loved ice cubes and whipped cream. He brought our newborn daughter a ball to try to play fetch with her. He slept under our bed most nights, or spent most of the others next to us, often flat on his back with legs up in the air. Some photos of our indomitable Trey Kaufman-Renn, who was on fire at last night’s Big Ten Tournament 🏀 We have a whole piece about him over at Purdue University and you should check it out! Did I mention he’s also kind and brilliant?

Can’t wait to watch this team in this year’s March Madness Men's Basketball. It’s my favorite time of year. 🏆
