POV: you’re trying to photograph a secret proposal in Malibu… but the ocean decided to join the planning committee. 🌊😂

A storm had the tides WAY higher than expected, so our original proposal spot? Basically underwater.

And since we couldn’t exactly stand there looking suspicious with cameras waiting for someone to propose… we went undercover. 😂📸

Pretending to be photographers very interested in documenting the dramatic Malibu tides while secretly waiting for our couple to arrive.

High tide. Last-minute changes. A little acting.

And somehow… the surprise stayed a surprise. 💍

Proposal photography is sometimes 50% photography, 30% planning, and 20% pretending you definitely belong there. 😂

Happy 1st Anniversary to Sabrina & Mehrdad! 🤍

Their wedding at Calamigos Ranch was truly something different — a beautiful blend of Pakistani + Persian traditions, with family and loved ones traveling from all over to come together and celebrate these two.

The energy, the emotions, the details, the families becoming one… everything about this day felt special. And getting to capture it all was such an honor for the MKEshoots team. 📸
