Not every engagement portrait belongs in a field at sunset. Sometimes it belongs in the passenger seat with the top down. ❤️

We ran into a few hiccups leading up to Leslie and Anthony’s session. The original vintage car we planned to use was having mechanical issues (as 78-year-old classics occasionally do), and we were doing our best to work around the rain. Before the session even started, we were already rewriting the plan.

Funny enough, I think those detours led us exactly where we were supposed to be. The contrast between the modern convertible and Leslie’s timeless bridal look created something that felt completely unique to them. It wasn’t what we had envisioned, but looking back, I genuinely can’t imagine it any other way.

It’s a reminder that things don’t always have to go according to plan to turn out exactly the way they’re meant to. Sometimes the unexpected doesn’t just save the day, it creates something even better.

From the moment the day began, Sarah wasn't just walking through a wedding venue—she was walking through a lifetime of memories.

She pointed out the places that meant something to her, shared stories from her childhood, and smiled as she remembered the little moments that had happened within those walls. It was impossible not to feel the weight of what this place had meant to her.

Then came the moment she'd one day tell a new story about.

Standing beside Gabe in the church she grew up in, she promised forever. The same walls that had quietly witnessed so many seasons of her life now witnessed the beginning of their marriage.

It was one of those days that reminded me weddings are about so much more than beautiful details. They're about history, family, faith, and the moments that shape us. And every now and then, if we're lucky, life brings us back to where it all began so we can start something even more beautiful.
