I never realized how much of a romantic I was until I started photographing parents 🤍

I guess that’s what motherhood has done to me… whenever I photograph a couple, I can’t help but think about the love that brought them to this moment - the thousands of ordinary, unseen moments that became a beautiful life together.

Getting a front-row seat to witness that story unfold is one of the greatest privileges of what I do. My approach to photography has never been about creating as many images as possible.

It’s about creating artwork that becomes part of a family’s story.

I grew up surrounded by original artwork created and collected by family members across generations. Those pieces shaped how I understood beauty, belonging, and home. They weren’t simply decorations on a wall - they were reminders of where we came from and what mattered to us.

That experience continues to influence the way I photograph families today.

When I photograph a mother holding her newborn or a family gathered together, I’m not just thinking about this moment. I’m thinking about how these photographs might be experienced years from now.

Displayed in a home.
Passed down to children.
