Ahhh I miss this page! Second part of last year was busy. A European vacation, a new job, an illness where I had a hospital stay, my first ever and don't want to do that again! So I'm a little behind starting with 2025, but let me take the opportunity to start posting my favorite photos again!

The Great Blue Heron is a perfect bird for my first 2025 post because they are starting their nesting season. Soon the trees at Bent Oaks will be full of nests and courting birds as males and females match up for the season.

How is everyone doing? Life in general has been busy in my household! A fun trip to Southern California to visit family and friends. Got to see how big the grands have grown. I secretly tried to put books on their heads to slow it down, but they wouldn’t have it🙃😆. I got a new job which includes all kinds of training, but I’m loving every minute of it! Now we are mid summer! What’s next?

I’m sharing a picture I took of a Blue-winged Teal preening. The fan of his feathers glistened in the sunlight 🟢🟤

Senior Grad Sessions are always fun! This one was special because he is the son of a dear friend I've known since high school! I was trying to count the years, but just saying "high school" is much easier hahaha! I remember the day she called to tell me she was pregnant with him... so it was such an HONOR to take his high school graduation photos! He is a proud Ray High School graduate!

These were a few of my favorites. In the galleries, I like to include a classic cap and gown, also my love for black and white, and I try to find something that will be a nice memory... in this case the Corpus Christi Water Gardens that are working again and the iconic Harbor Bridge in the background that will not be around for much longer!

Thank you Gloria and Rob for the opportunity to capture your son's personality! Congratulations Ian, you have a very bright future ahead, go get 'em!

On this Memorial Day, I share a favorite photo I took at the Gettysburg National Cemetery, one of many veteran cemeteries. To our service members who fought bravely and gave the ultimate sacrifice. We will always remember you and honor you. God Bless America.

Last month in March, I joined 3 other ladies/photographers and we did a wildflower dash around Texas! One of the places we visited was in Castroville. Here is a collection of photos I took at the Castroville Poppy House. It is owned and operated by a super nice man and he does a fantastic job with the gardens. I hope this video will play. I'm experimenting with Canva!
