The October issue of East Memphis Living. The feature family story is about how the Jefferies family gives back to the city they now call home. Because of publishing deadlines, we shot this cover at the end of August. It was 95 degrees but you’d never know it by looking at them. I’d say they definitely understood the assignment. ❤️😂

So enjoying these cooler temps the last couple of days, but I have no doubt that this is just a tease. A few months ago I started a fun partnership with to shoot their covers. This is been so much fun for me because they pretty much give me free reign. This was for the July cover, but we had to shoot it the end of May. It was so hot outside and with the bonfire it was 🥵! But this family hung in there with me. I can always count on the Shirkey family to understand the assignment. ❤️🥰
