One of my favorite ways to capture kiddos is to find them in their element... doing something that brings them true joy. My daughter is obsessed with bubbles right now... I grabbed my camera and a bubble machine and headed outside, and I have to say.. these are some of my favorite photo's that I've taken of her 🫧
Photoshoots don't have to be perfectly posed shots. My favorite way to look back at my kids pictures is to see time frozen in moments that captured who they were in that exact season... (like when my one year old was obsessed with bubbles). Their happiness portrayed in their genuine smiles because they were doing something that made them happy.
Also, please know that not all photoshoots start or end perfectly. It took my daughter a while to warm up to the idea of just standing there, enjoying the bubbles. There were many fits thrown before (see last image! lol). All of these moments were captured in all of a few minutes. I turned the shutter speed up real high and let my camera catch the many expressions of my happy toddler. Even if she was only enjoying herself for that short time, I still get to look back and remember her sweet little face.
