This morning we ventured out to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Luckily, we got a few decent pics before the heat chased us away!!

So, we spent the last 3 days doing a photography convention. It was a wonderful experience and got to meet a lot of amazing people and spend time with friends! While we were there, we had the opportunity to learn from some amazing photographers and videographers. During our classes we got the opportunity to take a few shots of some amazing models. It was an amazing experience!!

Tamron was even kind enough to let me run around with a $1,800 lens and play with it for two days!!! (Admittedly, their scheme worked as I want to buy one now!!) All the images except the cowboy were taken with the Tamron 35-150mm 2-2.8f lens.

While I spent more time taking notes than shooting pictures, here are a few of my favorites from the last couple days!!

I will probably add a couple more posts with specific memories/moments from the conference that deserve their own mention separately.

Last December I got a new lens for my camera and was testing it at Auga Caliente Park. While I was there, I got a few pictures of a Snowy Egret. I also met Kay Ross. She was a super neat person that does paintings and such. We spoke for a bit, and she said she was interested in painting one of my photographs of the Egret. We exchanged emails and I sent her images of the Egret.

I just got an email from her, and she finished painting one of my pictures! I thought this was super cool and with her permission I am sharing both my image as well as a picture of the painting she sent me!

You never know who you will meet or what kind of collaborations will come each time you strike up a conversation with someone!!

Good morning!! I know is super late.. but here is day 2 of the Pima County Fair Gymkhana hosted by Missionview Saddle Club Board!!! Sorry it took us a bit on this one, but we have been super busy!!! we just made a photo studio area for doing portraits and other shoots!!!!

I know we have not posted in a bit, but things have been insane!!! In a good way.. I think?? not sure!!

So, we sold our large fish tank to make room for a photo studio in our house. We finally got everything settled in after a week of moving things around yesterday! We were fortunate that two amazing ladies were free to come hang out today and help us test the new studio!!! Had a ton of fun playing with light sabers and trying new things, while also playing with the new studio area!! Thank you both for coming out and having fun with us!! We had a blast!!! Still doing edits, but here are a couple teasers!!

As many know the County Fair was last week. What some may not know is that there was a Gymkhana that took place this last weekend (25th & 26th) that was hosted by Missionview Saddle Club Board. We had decided to sponsor a rider in the competition this year and go out to photograph the event! This was a ton of fun!!

I had thought I would be able to have most of the images posted last night. The only thing is, we took way more pictures than we thought, and, while we probably should have narrowed them down, we decided to share more!! We processed a lot of pictures from the first day and uploaded them this morning. We will try to get more done soon and add them. Once the first day is done, we will work on getting the second day posted as well! As we add, I will continue to post to let people know to look for more images!

As we did for the past Gymkhana event, the images are free for those who participated to share and download. If you would like prints of the images, please reach out to us and we would be happy to arrange them for you! We would also love it if you tag us when you share them!

We only ask that you don’t be a creeper and make us regret sharing like this!!!

Great Job Aimee Miller!!!!!

So, we decided to sponsor a super cool person this year in the Gymkhana at the Pima County Fair! Aimee, the owner of Majestic Sport Horses, rescues and provides therapy to horses! We got some great shots of her and her daughter riding today!

And we may have got pictures of almost everyone that rode today!!!! I think we ended up with somewhere around 500 pictures! It may take us a few days to get through them all and post them so please bear with us!! We will be out taking more pictures tomorrow as well!!

Great job to all the participants today!!! Can’t wait to see what everyone can do tomorrow!! Thank you Missionview Saddle Club Board for letting us come out to your event! We met a ton of great people and had a blast taking pictures of the riders!!!

Went up to Madera Canyon this morning and got a few nice shots.. always a relaxing morning to have a coffee and watch the birds!! =D

It had been a while since we did any wildlife photography.. but got out and did a little yesterday morning.. found a wildlife preserve that is about an hour south of us and tried it out.. going to have to figure out the habits of the wildlife out there.. but got a few shots yesterday!!
