Wild horses are my passion, but I also hold a deep appreciation for all creatures that share the earth with us.

One of the things I love most about photographing wild horses, is seeing them grow up.

I wanted to share something with you about how light makes a huge difference in photography. The first photo of the owl is when the sun was shinning, and the second photo which was a few seconds later is when a cloud covered the sun. I definitely love cloudy days when it is not an owl in the middle of a pine tree, but this time I will take no clouds.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to find not one, but two gorgeous Great Horned owls next my house. I am not a fan of this pine tree, because it drops so many needles and pinecones that I have to pick up weekly, but now I don't mind doing it. I stayed outside with these two for over 2 hrs and took a lot of photos, because I usually have to travel hours to find any owls.
