I had the best time capturing this cutie’s 6 month milestone session. I got to meet him back in the spring when I did their family photos so it was extra fun to see how much he’s grown in the last few months! The little overalls, his curly hair and blue eyes…I mean does it get cuter?!

Milestone sessions are such a great way to document little seasons of life like the first year milestones, birthdays and personality portraits. 🥰

I first met this sweet family less than two years ago when I had the joy of photographing Bennett’s newborn session. I was so excited to visit them again and document this new chapter as they welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Alice.

One of the things I love most about in-home newborn sessions is how personal and cozy they feel. The special nursery details, the whole family snuggled together on the bed, and all of the ordinary yet beautiful moments captured right in their home are memories that become priceless over time. 🥰

This session is a breathtaking one. Make sure you slow down and scroll through all of these because there’s so much cuteness/love/beauty to take in! I met this sweet family at Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, and they just blew me away the entire time. The love between them all was so sweet, and the kids must have been sprinkled with fairy dust because they were SO good! 😂✨ Seriously though, we had such a fun evening, and the photos turned out beautifully. Definitely an instant favorite 🤩

It’s time to share part 3 of this incredible session! The proposal was planned for the end of the session so after we wrapped up family photos by the fountains, I suggested a different location for a few more photos so we could get them to the spot we planned for the proposal. 💍

After a few moments, James proposed to Maddie, and the best way I could describe her reaction is unrestrained joy. She was so excited and who could blame her?! The ring was an extra special detail because it was created by a family member who worked to get it completed just days before the proposal! I love that both families got to be there for the special occasion- Maddie’s family was hiding during the big moment ☺️ How sweet is the photo of Maddie’s adorable niece admiring the ring 🥰

It was such an honor to document this moment and all the joy that came from it. Best wishes on your next chapter, James and Maddie!

Hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend! I’m back with part 2 of the senior/family/proposal session that I shared last week. Today I’m sharing some of the images from the family portrait portion of the session. All of these photos were taken before the surprise proposal so I was doing my best to play it cool even though we were all so excited for what was just minutes from taking place. I love how these pictures capture so many authentic smiles and different personalities. I always want you to walk away from my sessions having had fun. And speaking of fun, you won’t want to miss the proposal photos coming up this week in part 3!

What does a senior session, family session and proposal have in common? Answer- they were ALL present in one recent session I did! I will be sharing the session in 3 parts so today is part 1- the seniors! I have known these twin brothers since they were in 3rd grade or so! It was so fun to get to document this exciting milestone for them. They kept me laughing the whole afternoon. I know guys aren’t always excited for photos, but they were great sports (and I try to keep it fun 😆) We met up at Forest Park for this session since it offers so much variety in one location.

Keep your eyes open for the family session and proposal photos in the days to come!

Happy Monday! What better way to kick off my spring sessions than with this gorgeous senior session 💙✨ I could have photographed this girl for hours! She has such a beautiful smile and graceful presence. The sun peeked in out of the clouds and gave us the perfect evening to capture this special milestone. Congrats to Haley on your upcoming graduation and all the excitement of this next chapter! 🎓
