Sometimes one frame just isn’t enough to tell the whole story!
Colin’s grandmother and her husband came to me with, "It would be cool if..." And that's when the idea of creating a flipbook-style action canvas was born.

One single image showing the play unfolding at the plate… the slide, the tag attempt, the dust flying.

They trusted me with the creative freedom to run with it… and this is what we ended up with! Honestly, it was so much fun to get creative and stretch my skills a bit on this one, and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!

I absolutely adore collaborating with clients and helping their visions come to life! When we both bring creative ideas to the table, it becomes so much more than just taking and editing a photo. It creates a deeper emotional connection to the image that goes far beyond the investment.

Most of the time I’m photographing everyone else’s biological kids (they're all like mine after a while).

But last night I grabbed a few of my own too — after wandering onto the baseline during warm-ups like the slightly feral photographer my teams have come to expect.

So proud of this beautiful girl! Huge congratulations to Peyton for winning Most Photogenic and Best Interview — both so well deserved!

I’m incredibly grateful I got to play a small part in capturing her confidence and personality through my lens. She brought the beauty, ideas, confidence, and heart… I just got lucky enough to photograph it.

My bestie says I’m an “award-winning photographer” now — we’re obviously joking 😄 (kinda!) — but honestly, seeing her shine like this is the real win.

Safe to say this one was a pretty great day behind the camera!

Homeschool mornings. Baseball nights. Backyard chickens (ducks & dogs)...

I’m currently in the process of editing the most challenging — yet rewarding — photos think I have ever taken.

I truly had no idea what I was walking into: colored lighting, black lights, a dark school cafeteria… but I adjusted on the fly, made it happen with a little help from a friend, and captured the night as it unfolded.

Now comes post-production, which can best be summed up as:� I’m a black/white/classic/neutral girlie shooting a Lisa Frank fever dream. My style is typically clean, crisp neutrals, so this has pushed me so far out of my comfort zone I’m practically in left field! And while this was a 90s theme, as someone proudly born in the late 1900s, it absolutely took me back to my childhood— Lisa Frank notebooks, neon binders, bold colors everywhere.

So instead of fighting it, I’m embracing the “vintage” inspired decor and enjoying reminiscing as I edit through these bold, beautiful colors — and even more beautiful girls.

My biggest takeaway from the entire experience, though, is this: the young ladies at Riverside Middle School were some of the kindest and sweetest I have ever met. This whole project has been an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to have the full gallery finished and in the hands of the people who support them most!
