When you approach the St. Sauveur Cathedral in Aix-en-Provence in Mediterranean Coastal France, it looks a lot like just another one of those somewhat plain Gothic Cathedrals. But when you step inside, you will find the interior is pretty special. One of my favorite images from that trip was the baptistery inside this church. It is said that the columns seen around the font were probably columns from an ancient Roman Temple that once stood on the same site.

A month ago, we visited Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Probably the highlight for me, photographically, was their own "Umbrella Street." As I recently blogged, these umbrella streets and plazas have been springing up all over the world for the past several years and I have become aware of them and now seek out and try to photograph them on my travels.

In fact the umbrella street nearly overshadowed another image that I made of Puerto Plata's "Pink Street." This one needed some post-processing work, and when I first reviewed them, I didn't think any were worth publishing. This morning I looked again and decided maybe this one was.
