I sorted through hundreds of photos from this wedding validating why I don’t do wedding photography. I beat myself up over every one and felt discouraged. Because this is my best friend. And he deserved all good things on this day. And then I saw this one. I may be a total amateur. But this exchange of looks between them. This is why I do what I do. Because if out of 330 photos, this is the only good one I have, I’m ok with that. Hope the happy couple is too 🎊

Maybe today we can celebrate the freedom we have to be a better nation. History tells us how much others have sacrificed so that we can have what they didn’t. We have the chance every single day to make sure we are a generation that makes the most out of it. With gratitude and grace. But still striving to be better. History had some dark times, and so has the present. But that doesn’t have to be our future.
