I debated on whether or not I was going post this. But after it's almost became a weekly thing now, I thought maybe I should address it.
Rossville parents and grandparents, I am trying my best.
I have been approached or DM'ed now multiple times this school year about how I am just not getting any, or very few, photos of their kid. I promise you all, I never do so on purpose or with Ill intent. When I am shooting a game, I follow the action. I look for things that may help to tell a story, and I look for my next creative shot that I can add to my portfolio. I don't ask for anything in return (for Rossville) other than if you wish to donate. I don't get paid by the school for doing this. And I would've been at the games regardless.
I don't favorite any one particular person or people, nor do I exclude anyone on purpose. I will admit, those that do donate, I may capture a little more. Because I know how hard they work, I know how difficult it is to survive in this economy - and your generosity seriously means more than you know.
I do think last nights interaction wasn't meant to be as harsh as it may have originally came across. I believe the couple of interactions this week, they just didn't know where or how to locate the full galleries from each game. But last night I wasn't given a chance to explain or show how.
Facebook for some reason only allows me 80 photos per post. Honestly, anything more than that is a bit excessive, and I do have to sometimes be much more "select"ive than I would like to be. But the comment made, got to me.
This isn't meant to be a pity post. I absolutely love doing this for the kids and families. The good conversations and comments far exceed the not so good. I look forward to gamedays, I look forward to creating, and I love interacting with everyone! Also, I have one of the best seats in the house! I am tired and I miss out on things all so I can try to get as quick of a turnaround as possible. I have been blessed with the exposure and now getting to showcase other Kansas schools. The past few weeks I have been shooting 5-6 days a week at different local (and not so local) sporting events as well as the other photo work I do. I have manifested and I have received! π
In an attempt to keep things simple and organized, I will place all things Rossville 26'-27' in the gallery link below.
If you've made it this far, thank you for your support and the love that you show to me and my craft! β€οΈ Go Dawgs!
