Oh the places flowers will take you….. 🛫

Six years ago, one of our very first out-of-state weddings took us to Austin, where we had the opportunity to create for these two and opened the door to a friendship and business connection we’re still grateful for today.

Since then, we’ve made our way back to Austin almost every year, usually with a dinner and a “hey, we’re in town!” thrown in. Happy six years to these two!

It’s pretty special, the connections this industry creates when your work is rooted in celebrating love. Cheers to all the beautiful chapters of love we get to witness and be a part of, and to the sometimes lifelong connections we make along the way. 🥂

There’s never really a true off switch over here. 🔕
It just means our calendar gets a little more “as it comes” during “off season.”

The slower wedding schedule doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. It just means the work shifts.

Around here, that might look like cleaning buckets, processing roses, chasing wholesalers and flower farmers, product sourcing, building proposals, testing mechanics, interviewing, reorganizing the studio, or squeezing in a project that somehow landed on a random Tuesday. Sprinkle in a corgi who thinks he’s management, and you’ve pretty much got life at The Floral Hive.

These are the moments that rarely make it to social media, but they’re the reason Fall runs as smoothly as it does.

This season looks a little different for us, too. With Lauren, the owner, physically out on medical leave for the majority of our Fall season due to a highly anticipated, but high-risk, pregnancy that we’re all incredibly excited about, we’re spending the rest of the summer preparing for an all hands on deck Fall. Our goal is to have every role confidently filled before our busiest months begin so our clients continue to receive the same experience they’ve come to expect from us.
