Today marks one full year of being a PRCA photographer, and I truly can’t thank God enough for the opportunities, the people, and the journey this past year has brought.

What started as a dream has turned into something I get to live every single weekend, and I’m beyond grateful for it. Here’s to many more years of doing what I love and capturing the sport that means so much to so many.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way — the contestants, committees, stock contractors, and everyone behind the scenes. It’s truly a blessing getting to work alongside some amazing people.

Today we honor the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price defending our great nation. There are not words to describe the gratitude we feel every time we carry Old Glory knowing all that she has seen, those who have fallen perfecting her, and those she still stands protecting today.

Something to remember today.

Please don’t say “Happy Memorial Day.”
For many, there is nothing happy about it.

Today is for the men and women who never made it home. The ones who gave everything in service to this country and the families who carry that sacrifice every single day.

Memorial Day is not Veterans Day. It is not a celebration. It is a day of remembrance, reflection, and solemn respect for the true cost of freedom.

I am forever grateful for the sacrifices made that allow me to live freely and do what I love every single day.

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.
