Well… I might not be from your neck of the woods, but I’d certainly love to help you with your pictures anyway! s. My amazing wife has made me quite the softy when it comes to love and supporting other’s that are in love. Believe me when I say, that my clients always tug on my heartstrings, because I know just how special and important your moments are (and my wife will hear all about it when I get home). When I am not taking, choosing, or editing pictures, I am on the couch watching a movie, ready to critic it to the best of my ability or I am at my computer playing the latest video game that I am obsessed with. If you share any ounce of those hobbies, we will get along swimmingly. This is the best job I have ever had the privilege of being a part of. I get to meet new people, capture the happiest moments in their lives, and have fun while I am doing it!

This is very long overdue but I thought, with me starting posting again, that I should thank the amazing Tennessee Photographer for their help with Hannah and Junjie’s wedding. While visiting family is SC, I was in a car accident moments before leaving to drive back to TN. Luckily, everyone was ok but it totaled our new car and left us unable to drive back for their wedding. Jack was very kind to help cover their wedding last minute and the photos turned out great! I’m so happy to be able to show my very first wedding film! Ammi and Jess were very patient with me while I struggled to keep up with my photography in the busy May and June season. Their film was a bit of trial and error for me as I scrapped all my work 3 times because I wasn’t happy with how it was coming out.

It’s hard for me to watch the film and not just see every mistake I made since it was my first time filming a wedding. I know that I worked to fix some of the mistakes I made in the next wedding films I shot but it is still is discouraging for me. Fortunately, Ammi and Jess don’t see it that way. I got the best message back I could ask for from Ammi:

“Wow Michael. This video was absolutely stunning. You put it all together so beautifully and tears were absolutely shed watching it. Thank you for documenting our special day so perfectly, you really did an incredible job. We are so grateful to have this”

Seeing a response like this warms my heart and makes me excited to keep making wedding films! I have a few more films I am working on now that things have slowed down, so keep an eye out!

Vendor Showcase | Ancient Lore Village in Knoxville, TN

I thought it would be nice to shout out certain vendors that I’ve worked with. One of my favorite locations since moving to Tennessee has been the Ancient Lore Village. It’s like walking straight into Middle Earth! Beautiful views, great drinks, and axe throwing make this a gorgeous and fun location for your wedding.
