It’s a team effort, but sometimes more hands make for lighter work! The list is not limited to: �
-coordinate locations and key events on the timeline (planner and I were in lock step about locations and getting to the venue on time last wedding I did)
-hold dresses, bouquets, drinks, phones, vapes, shoes
-fix hair, earrings, remove stains, etc. (Hey, anything for the shot right?)

But the best thing you can do… is hire a professional team of vendors to help with your day. My biggest regret was not having a wedding planner there to help with the bumps and coordinating between all the vendor teams. It’s worth every penny! Trust your vendors and their connections!

Tackling the family can seem overwhelming, but here’s ways to make it seamless:

Create a list, but not just any list, one that’s organized by and specifies if you want pictures solo, just as an entity as a couple, or both.

Designate a wrangler of people and also let the planner and potentially the officiant know where you want them to be taken. They can assist and make an announcement to let family know where to go!

Know that you can always get group photos later! The point of family formals is to get immediate photos of family that are closest to you. Think must have or family that you know may not stay til the end. This is also in a nice location with daylight (ex: at the ceremony location while decor is still setup there)

Comment “family” to get my prompt I ask all my couples when it’s time to put together their family shot list!

Neutrals?? Dare I say we wean away from our millennial traumas of 2010 color? White is always timeless but is it a sign of the millennial generation? WGSN struck back against the Pantone Color of the year with Transformative Teal - and I think this is more on trend with where we will evolve with color.

Overly blurry photos - ok, hear me out, blurry photos with intention are great, but if they’re completely unable to see what’s going on, it may look like a mistake. 

Shoes off of chandeliers and in random places - to add, this looks good with intention, but if there’s no rhyme or reason, sometimes it can just be trendy to be trendy.

And if you like these, no problem, it’s your day!

Hi, I'm Jenn! I'm starting over again after a FB page mishap, but I am back and ready to share more of what I love. As a wedding photographer in the Tampa Bay area, I love creating a real experience for my couples and meeting them where they at 🤍

How I got started: It began with a camera I didn't want.I was told to figure it out when the Army said I'd be taking photos and promoting the Band. Tired of photographing people in the same outfit, I fell into weddings and photographing couples' love stories.
