There are so many things flooding my mind while writing this caption, but I’ll try to reel it in.

I got into photography when I was 12 years old and was the girl that carried around her tiny point and shoot everywhere. I didn’t have a grand mission or vision to execute, just simply noticing what was around me when I slowed down to be present. As years passed, I began photographing other people’s moments. Meeting you wherever you are in this lifelong journey. Meeting you as the human you are.

Sometimes that looks like carrying grief on your wedding day. Sometimes it’s shaky hands and nervous breaths. Sometimes it’s standing behind your shoulder while you FaceTime a loved one who couldn’t make it. Sometimes it’s finally meeting your rainbow baby after years of infertility. Sometimes it’s a surprise reunion with your best friend.

Whatever life is handing you in that moment, it is beautifully and authentically yours. And I’m beyond grateful to be invited into such an intimate moment.

No technology can truly replicate human emotion in real time. The way it feels, the way it shifts, the way it lives in a single fleeting second.

We’ll say it time and time again. Thank you for choosing us to be there. Thank you for trusting us to see your story through our eyes (even when those eyes end up teary behind the lens) Because after all, we’re human too.
