Hello! So this may be out of the ordinary to bring up/ask, but it's something cool I've had in my head for a couple years and lately I have really had the burning desire to do, esp after talking with my good friend, Danica.
Are there any photographers and/or models (pro or otherwise) local to thw Tallahassee area who would be interested in doing a TFP shoot (or discounted, where everyone involved could bring a tip/what we can afford. I'm not asking for totally free services, I realize it's a big job and takes time and travel, but maybe with a group of at least a few people we could make it afforsable for those who can't afford a complete shoot themselves) for spooky season?
I personally love very artistic, dark/gothic and fantasy themes and have been wanting to do a witchy/goddess type shoot. I think in the later afternoon/evening in a nice nature setting would be perfect. I personally love Lichgate on High Road and think with the little cottage and the huge trees, it could be perfect. Danica and I are both amateur photographers AND models and we are both of the Pagan spirituality and were talking about doing a shoot and each of us dressing in a way that would use symbolism to honor the Goddess we connect to most (for her the Morrigan and Selene/Luna for myself). With Halloween being the perfect season to find cool props for cheap, I have been looking at cloaks, I recently got a head piece that would work well and have found a crow/raven prop she could use. I thought it would make a fun shoot and might be great advertised/portfolio content for a photographer who wanted to do something more artistic. So I'm open to getting a group together of any models and photographers who might be interested in this kind of thing. Of course, every model could bring thier own ideas for their "character" to the table and some could be done in a less "spooky" and more "romantic" (or the kids these days love using the term "cottagecore" haha) way. I will post some pics by other photographers to give ideas of what kind of vibe I had in mind, but I am definitely open to hearing all kinds of ideas snd helping other models find inexpensive props, outfits, help with makeup etc. I thought since Danica and I are moms on a tight budget and do not have the money to pay a photog right now, that maybe we could make it a collaborative shoot and all contribute our skills and chip in for props and things. I mostly work with my phone right now, as it's higher quality than the DSLR my husband has (Samsung S22 Ultra) and I have a tripod we can use if needed. I have ring lights, but of course those would need a power supply. I also love editing photos so I would be happy to help with that if anyone needs it. I'm going to post some in the comments, so I can link the photographers page and pay full respect. But I'll attach a couple to the post, to gain some attention. If I cannot find photographer credits, I apologize and am open to anyone providing that info on an image, as I would never want to use their work for inspiration without respecting their work. Let me know if there is interest and I'll start a group chat!
ETA: This is NOT just for women/females! Obviously there are witches of all genders and I think inclusive could only make this type of shoot BETTER!
