Rarely do we get a sky like this one. The clouds lit up tonight with deep crimson and ember tones, almost like the horizon had a slow-burning fire behind it. I grabbed a few shots from my yard while I could. The tall trees make it a bit of a challenge, but sometimes they frame the moment just right.

Gateway to Talimena National Scenic Byway. Fog was too thick to drive it yesterday so I nabbed this photo. I wanted to show off our spring colors that are really starting to pop.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time, well for me that is, not for the poor coyote that was getting dive-bombed by the pair of hawks. This really makes me want to pull the trigger on a wildlife lens. I appreciate my 70-200mm, but I'm already starting to out grow it.

Another backroad find around the Sardis area. Look at that water color! Can't wait for the trees to start perking up. I'll have to go back and shoot these each season I think.

PS: I've had more and more people asking me how to learn photography and one of the best ways I learned was checking out the settings on other photog's photos. Now, everyone does settings differently depending on what you're capturing, but most will be close. Here are mine for this photo. I slowed down the shutter speed to get the smoother water look and get more light filtering in to get that reflection.

Here's attempt #3 at shooting the full moon. This was the Snow Moon rising at the start of the month, and if you look closely, you can still see traces of snow lingering on the hills beneath it.

I really thought that I hadn't captured anything so I didn't bother to look at the files when I downloaded so that's why it's taken me so long to post.

Hi friends! I’ve had a lot of questions about portraits lately, so I wanted to share some of my favorite captures from the past six months. I love working with natural light in relaxed, comfortable spaces, and I always make room for candid moments. Fur babies are absolutely welcome too. Message me if you’d like more details!
