The organization, "Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa" (FANS), organized the lighting of this Christmas tree near I-40 in Swannanoa next to Athens Pizza and Rush Trucking.

It's meant as a beacon of hope for the community after Helene devastated the area, according to the group's page.
