I've always loved art. Painting, crafts, photography, creating things with my hands, and especially capturing moments that tell a story. There is something so special about freezing a moment in time and being able to look back on it years later. It's always been one of the ways I express myself and one of the things that makes me feel most like me.
Lately, I've spent a little less time behind the lens as I've been enjoying this new season of life from marriage to my pregnancy. My priorities have shifted, my energy comes and goes, and life looks a little different these days. But if there's one thing I know about myself, it's that I will always show up for the people I love and for the moments that matter.
This session was one of those moments.
To be honest, it came with a few bumps along the way. We watched the clock, worried about the light, and for a moment it felt like maybe things weren't going to work out the way we had planned. But sometimes God has a way of reminding us that His plans are better than ours. What looked like the day getting too dark turned into one of the most beautiful skies. It felt like He was painting the backdrop Himself.
And to the Brewers, congratulations from the bottom of my heart.
God has allowed me to walk beside your family through so many seasons. I've witnessed tears, prayers, worries, waiting, heartbreak, healing, and so many moments in between. I've seen your faith when things were difficult and I've seen your trust in God when the answers weren't always clear.
I have seen how God gave you a baby, and in that very same moment, He called that baby back to heaven… and still, in the middle of that pain, I have also seen how He has given you a new hope.
Now I get the privilege of celebrating with you in this beautiful season of joy.
Baby Cruz is more than a precious little boy. To me, he is a reminder of God's faithfulness. A reminder that God keeps His promises even when the waiting feels long. A reminder that He is still writing beautiful stories and that His timing is always perfect.
As I stood behind my camera capturing these moments, I couldn't help but think about how far your family has come. Looking at these photos, I don't just see a maternity session. I see answered prayers. I see hope. I see healing. I see a family that never stopped believing.
Thank you for allowing me to capture this chapter of your story. These are the moments that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Congratulations, Brewers. Baby Cruz is already so loved, and I know God has amazing things in store for him. 🤍📸✨
