Penfield Beach Pavilion, Fairfield CT. Pouring rain. Wind whipping that veil all over the boardwalk. And these two? Unbothered. Glowing. Laughing through every single drop.

Here’s the secret nobody tells you about rainy wedding days: they give you the BEST photos. The moodiest light, the most cinematic frames, the kind of moments where you actually have to lean into each other. Iconic behavior from start to finish.

Details aren’t just details. They’re the shoes that are about to walk her toward forever. The dress she’s been picturing in her head for months. The rings sitting in a velvet box, waiting.
I always try to capture these moments with the human element in them, because a shoe on a shelf is just a shoe. But a bride reaching for her dress, holding the heels she picked out, fingers brushing the lace? That’s the story.
Every single piece in a wedding day means something. Seeing them together, with her in the frame, is what makes it hit different.

Some love stories take the long way home 🧡
Jennifer and Joel met back in elementary school. Life pulled them in different directions for years, but somehow the universe kept track. Fate brought them right back to each other, and on a chilly spring day at Wood Acres Farm, they finally said I do under a sky full of cherry blossoms.

The horse drawn carriage ride after the ceremony? Absolute main character energy. You could feel how excited they were, like they couldn’t believe they actually got here. And honestly same.

This is exactly why I love documenting CT weddings. The details, the people, the slow build of a love that waited its whole life to come together. Wood Acres Farm showed up and showed out with those spring blooms too.
