Hobbyhillhouse It started as something to keep my hands and mind busy. As silly as it sounds we live on a house on a hill that has a lot of hobbies. You are welcome to join us.

In the tradition of crafting anything you can think of passed on to me by my late grandmother (Dorothy, Dottie, Barnes) this is a page dedicated to the things I make. Too many to define ourselves by just one thing so it's called that to encompass many things. We are all also changing and evolving so the hobbies and art may change over time. Photography, graphics, baking, cooking, sewing, painting, and anything you can come up with might happen.

Ever find something that had always been there, right in front of your face, but you never noticed it until today. And now it's like the last (insert a long time here) so many years you could have saved stress and frustration by knowing about it?

That was me 5 minutes ago.

The Embrilliance software I use has a button that auto-generates a satin stitch fill into a selected shape. Seconds it takes to do this. Meanwhile, for the past 5 years I've been manually adding, adjusting, tweaking and spending hours getting designs to stitch right, breaking needles, taking my machine apart and tweezing out knotted threads because it's too dense, too light, too many wonky stitches. And to realize I had this magical ability the whole time.

Needless to say when I get frustrated and hit my limit I stop and work on projects that I "know" I'm good at. So I introduce to you my 3rd version of the Cell Phone Holster. This is what I did instead of throwing in the towel (that I was working on embroidering).

Took me a total of 8 hours (over two days). Faux brown soft leather, neoprene, an old black sweatshirt material for the lining and a few embroidery designs. My inner childhood biker is happy. Or maybe my video game inner child... giving cosplay vibes but I plan to use it at work. For those of us that have to carry two cell phones.

Finalized some fun shirt designs. Looks like the cost to make them would be: $25 (Adult Small - XL) and $30 (2XL, 3XL or 4XL). Thank you for suggesting putting the founded\established year in there by dear Benjamin Stout, 1854. I can order them on a shirt called "Comfort Colors" Navy or Grey preferred colors to match the design. Feel free to DM me if you are interested in ordering.
This is part-part time adventure for me as I have a full family and day job as most of us do. Turn around looks to be around a week to 10 days once I place the order. So the quicker I know who wants one the quicker I can order the shirts. I'll hold off on ordering for a bit and see who requests one before I place the order.
