It's hard to believe that before long they'll be in high school. I hope we get the chance to recreate these photos when that time comes—it would be so much fun to see how much they've grown and to look back on these special memories!

I’ve found a beautiful little creek right here in town (Stockton) that would make the perfect backdrop for summer photos, complete with canopied trees overhead. The only thing to keep in mind is that it does require climbing down a few rocks to reach the spot!

✨Vernon Burns | My Grandpa✨

My 84-year-old grandpa is, without a doubt, one of the coolest people I know. Whether he’s cruising around town in his sports car, flying down a backroad on his motorcycle, or out cowboyin’, he does it all with a youthful spirit that most people spend their whole lives trying to hold onto.

This session meant so much to me because, like all of his grandkids, I’ve always looked up to him. Growing up, he felt larger than life — the kind of person who could make any ordinary day unforgettable just by being there. He’s lived his life with a spirit that refuses to age, and being around him has always reminded me to enjoy life fully, love your people deeply, and never lose your sense of adventure.

The older I get, the more I realize how rare people like him really are. He’s more than just my grandpa — he’s a legend in our family, a role model, and one of the best men I’ll ever know. I know not everyone gets the privilege of having someone like him in their life, and I’ll never stop being grateful that I do.

One of my favorite things about photography is how a single image can tell an entire story. These photos tell the story of a weathered cowboy with a youthful heart, someone who’s embraced every season of life without ever letting age define him.

He is truly one of a kind, and anyone lucky enough to know him would say the same. Love him and these photos so, so much. 🤎

Finding “my style” as a photographer has been one of the most rewarding, yet hardest challenges I have faced since starting up my business. Every session brings something different, and the lighting, scenery, and colors all play such a big role in shaping the final look of each gallery. This lake session had the most beautiful soft, warm, and creamy tones, and I truly love the summer vibes they are giving. ☀️

Bo and Payton were a joy to photograph, and little Paisley could not be any cuter! I had the hardest time deciding which to share if you can't tell. 🤍
