This MD-82 was retired by American Airlines and donated to Oklahoma State University School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 2015 and has rested in Stillwater ever since. Such an icon to this day!

I’m sure most has already heard about the most recent news regarding the Speedbird Queens. But for those that haven’t (if you live under a rock lol), British Airways has come out in unexpected fashion and called for the immediate retirement of all of its Boeing 747-400s, marking the end of the 747 era for BA dating back to 1974 with their 747-100s.
Glad to say that I’ve caught this massive, elegant beauty a couple times before they are now gone. I don’t mind seeing the British Queen everywhere I look on Instagram right now, she deserves the attention.
