sooo... hi!!! ♡
if we haven’t met yet, I’m Taylor! I’m a full-time photographer serving Madison + Central Wisconsin, and I’ve been doing this full-time for almost 4 years now... which is still a little crazy to say.
I’m a big believer that your photoshoot should actually feel like you. I don’t want to show up, put you in a random pretty location, run through the same 15 poses, and call it a day. every shoot has intention, period.
before we even get to the shoot, we’re talking. we’ll put together a moodboard, figure out the vision, look at what you’re drawn to visually, and find a location that actually makes sense for you. the more you communicate with me about what you like, the better I can do my job.
part of my job is getting to know you before I photograph you. I want to know your personality, what you’re comfortable with, what you’re not… all of it!
and then when we actually shoot, I’m very much myself. I’m a chatter. like... a chatter. 😂
I’ve had so many people tell me they were nervous about being photographed and then completely forgot they were supposed to be nervous because we were just talking the entire time and having fun. and honestly, that’s exactly what I want.
I’m not going to suddenly become a completely different person because I’m holding a camera. that would be boring.
I’ve also somehow found a friendship in almost every client I’ve worked with, and I genuinely love that part of this job. I love meeting people, hearing about their lives, getting to know them, and then getting to turn all of that into something visual.
so this little carousel is basically the “okay, but how does all of this actually work?” version — what I shoot, where I’m at, how to work with me, and a little more about the person behind the camera :)
