Hey y'all! It has been a hot minute since our last post and I couldn't think of a better way to break the silence... the Rib Mountain Adventure Challenge for 2026!

Lee and I had a great time getting out on the course that Anna + Tim created with all the racers and volunteers.

This year Lee and I tackled a new challenge of our own - canoeing while photographing! We couldn't pass up getting out there to see the racers encounter the stunning Waupaca Chain O'Lakes - a real treat. A big shout out to Lee for doing an incredible job and keeping us and our gear dry! 🥳

Curious what the 10th Rib Mountain Adventure Challenge (RMAC) looked like? CHECK IT OUT — it was SO FUN!

This epic race brings together brand-new and seasoned adventurers for an unforgettable day in the rugged Central Wisconsin wilderness. 🏃‍♂️🚴‍♀️🛶

Racers — solo or in teams of 2–4 — take on a 3, 8, or 18-hour course, using only a map and compass to navigate as they run, bike, and paddle through wild terrain.

Lee and I were there for all of it — and yep, we even slept in our car to catch that morning light. Totally worth it. 😅

I was pulling together an example for a client and stumbled on this senior session—and I had to pause. I created these portraits during a season when I had an incredible creative partner, my friend Christina. She helped me hold so many of my ideas and had this quiet gift for helping me pause long enough to implement them before rushing to the next.

She’s the one who selected and arranged these images—and even now, her way of seeing still moves me. She’s no longer here, but her presence is woven into this set. I miss her deeply, and I’m so grateful I got to create alongside her for a while.

Okay, long time no post. You know how when your iPhone (or smart phone) updates... and then it updates again? Or your fav TV show pauses due to wifi going slow and it has to buffer or load? Well, that has been me (Ann's) life for a bit (2 major surgeries and a slow healing process will do that to you.)

Lee and I are slowly coming back around... and we're stoked to photography the 2025 Rib Mountain Adventure Challenge. It's their 10th year doing it and WE ARE HERE FOR IT!

On a total different note - senior session season is coming up and I can't wait! If you know anyone looking for some senior photos - send them my way - I'm SO EXCITED to photograph seniors this summer! In the meantime... here is Caedyn from last fall - what a hoot!:
