Today I Got to Be Grandma AND the Photographer
There are some sessions that mean just a little bit more.
Today I had the absolute pleasure of taking our first grandchild’s engagement photos, and I’m not sure my heart was quite prepared for this one.
I’ve watched this beautiful girl grow up through my camera lens for so many years. I’ve photographed the little-girl smiles, the milestones, the growing up…and today I got to photograph that same smile filled with excitement for everything that’s ahead of her.
Watching her plan this next chapter, seeing how happy she is, and seeing the beautiful little family she is becoming a part of makes this grandma pretty darn proud.
And yes…there were a few tears.
Some things never change. I’ve been photographing those tears since she was about two years old because, quite honestly, she has always been the cutest cryer ever.
Today I got to capture a little piece of the beginning of their forever, and what a gift that was.
I cannot wait to watch where life takes these two and their sweet little family.
Congratulations, sweetheart.
Your grandma will always be somewhere nearby…probably with a camera in her hand.
