Some people just bring their own pop of color to the whatever they do - Evelyn is one of those people. She stays busy at school with involvement in track & field, Yearbook, NHS, and Student Council. Beyond her long list of activities, she has a creative soul with an eye for good design and a love for bright, beautiful color. 🌈✨
When we talked about her senior session, she knew she wanted it to feel personal and, most importantly, to use bright colors. Evelyn dreams of traveling, exploring, creating, and seeing where life takes her - I look forward to following her socials to see her future adventures.
Evelyn - I hope you hold on to your creativity and joy and chase those dreams girl!

I have been photographing Hunter and his family since he was a little boy - long before he had a mustache, that's for sure!👨 It seems like yesterday that I was capturing him with his siblings and all their giggles as they jumped on a trampoline and ran around their front yard. His senior session was a reminder of how quickly time passes. It's all coming full circle for me this year as the families who trusted me at the beginning of my career are now allowing me to work with their seniors. I'm grateful to still be doing what I love. 🖤📸
For Hunter's session, we made our way to Lake Michigan on a perfect summer evening. The bright sun, his light blonde hair and his bronze summer tan all worked together to make my job simple. He's such a warm, relaxed young man, and that natural ease came through in his photos. Congrats to you, Hunter. I'm so grateful to have watched you grow up through my lens and to be here for this chapter of your story.

You've got to understand, these senior portraits were not just about making someone look nice in a photo to publish in a yearbook. Instead, Conner invited me to step into a world he had imagined himself. He is a creative writer and has even written a book. I wanted to explore this style and get to know the main character in his novel.
His story takes readers into a futuristic, end-of-the-world setting where anything could happen. Instead of only showing him with his laptop and books, we put him in the shoes of his main character. It was thrilling to capture these photos right at his family farm. Conner isn't just dreaming about the stories he wants to tell someday - he's already writing them. 📖🌟

Meet Jerzey Hill, a senior with a beautiful smile, a love for classic Michigan country life and a whole lot of personality. 🧡🌟
For her first session, we leaned into western vibes featuring pretty country dresses and in a setting that felt right at home with her FFA roots. 👩‍🌾🌿
One of my favorite moments from her session was watching Jerzey - the girl who had specifically requested to be on a swing out over the water - go into a fit of sudden fear and yelps as she was about to get on the swing and dangle in the air. It was ironic because in all other ways, she seems confident and fearless. But despite her nerves, she did it and she earned those beautiful portraits.
She's truly a classic country beauty and I look forward to capturing more of her interests during her fall session.

There are some seniors who walk into a photo session with a clear vision of who they are and the little things that will add up to tell their story - and Essynse Smyth was exactly that kind of senior. 🤍
She's beginning her final year at Central Montcalm H.S. now, but I first met Essynse earlier this summer and I was immediately charmed by her gentle, ladylike manners. In so many of her photos I tried my best to capture her feminine (even often ethereal) yet confident spirit.
As a fellow lover of classic literature, writing, nature and the beauty of all things elegant, she was a girl after my own heart when she showed up with her books and tea sets. She dreams of one day owning her own bookstore and I can already picture the cozy business she'll create for people to enjoy.
Every detail of this session felt intentional to help showcase who she is now from her flute to her bible, everything was just right.
I loved getting to know Essynse and I look forward to her fall session. I know the autumn photos will be every bit as lovely as she is. 🍂🤗

Anna was soft spoken when we first started her senior session, but I have a feeling there is a BIG personality just beneath the surface. (See her playful sunglasses for proof) 🌟I could tell she's a thoughtful and passionate young woman because she's already thinking about her future and considering studying sociology. She dreams of becoming a prison advocate and working to make big changes in politics one day.
She also knew exactly what she wanted for her senior portraits, carefully choosing outfits that felt like her and making sure to incorporate her favorite color, orange. 🧡
It was so nice getting to capture this season of Anna's life, and I can' t wait to see where her strong sense of compassion for others takes her. Congrats!
